Location short walk to Old Town by a regular good bus service, Pile Gate and a pleasant beach area. Right next to Diving Center Blue Planet and other tourist attractions. Newly decorated, large room with a private bathroom and a shower and hair dryers.

The price-performance ratio is good. The staff friendly. We were at the end of the season in October and could still swim. Beautiful bay with beautiful stalls. Partly also suitable for children. Good and favourable bus connection to the old town. WLAN available.
Mould at the silicone joints in the bathroom. The hotel's not the latest. It's a bit outdated.

Loud humming in the room above the kitchen!

Consider me officially shocked
I was astounded by the paradise-like location and fine sea views. The terrace breakfast was a good experience. The dining options fell short, with limited variety and quality. The hotel has outdated decor and noise could be an issue, but if you're after a amazing view and good accessibility to Lapad and Dubrovnik, it's worth it.

Very good overall experience. Lively hotel, decent sized rooms, marvellous breakfast, particularly helpful staff. Generally good service with parking on site. Had free Wi-Fi throughout the property.

Fantastic Views and Great Company
The breakfast was a good mix of local and international dishes. The private beach area was tranquil.

Not much. It was old, dirty, supposed to have non-smoking rooms but had ashtrays in all rooms. It smelled, musty and needs to be renevated.
Old, musty, extremely poor air conditioning (almost non-existant). 1 out of 4 staff members was mannerly - the others were rude and did not care that we were so very disappointed with the accomodations. We moved to Hilton after 1 miserable night. And the Hilton in Dubrovnik is wonderful!!!!!!

Spacious single room, all very clean, friendly staff. Breakfast is good. It is a few kilometres to the old town, but it is only 10 minutes by bus (which stops near the hotel and leaves every 15 minutes).

Amazing sea view from the balcony.
The soundproofing was unbelievably poor. We could hear every loud conversation and door slamming from the neighboring rooms. The cleanliness of the bathroom was subpar, with sticky spots that should have been addressed before our arrival, leaving us frustrated.

Hotel Spendid has a great location, on the water in Lapad. It's a short bus ride to the old town, with buses every 20 minutes. Room with balcony overlooking the water. Room was clean, with good bathroom and shower. Breakfast was good with good selection. Hotel has outdoor patio overlooking the bay for breakfast. Staff speaks excellent english, very friendly and helpful. There is no road between the hotel and the water making for a real water front experience. Water is crystal clear and there is a good set up for water front sitting and swimming. Highly recommend for combining relaxing at the water with visiting Dubrovnik.
No elevator and many steps down to the water, not a problem for us, but potential guests should be aware.

The breakfast buffet was good.
We didn't like the fact that as hotel guests at the hotel's own beach we should have paid an additional fee for deck chairs and parasols. This should be included in not quite modest price. Above all, however, the passive information in this regard did not suit us, as we were only made aware of it by the not particularly friendly reception staff upon request.
